Edinburgh Part 2: Sporadic, Nomadic

Leaving the home county behind and setting off for the North, the car packed only with essentials (my clothes), we felt like pioneer explorers heading into unknown territory. This was not entirely unjustified either as, at that point, we had not found a place to live. Instead we moved into a short term holiday let (the first of three) and began to settle ourselves into the local area.

Almost at the top of my list for places to find was the local vintage shop. I struck gold with this one just around the corner.

We also indulged in some yummy treats and meals to make the temporary flat feel like home.

Yes this is a vegetarian haggis. Don’t knock it until you’ve tried it because it rocks! (although I'm not sure how easy it is to get hold of in other parts of the country)
The first month here was full of flat hunting, day trips and staying local. All the exploring paid off because we have found a lovely flat in our favourite area but have to wait until December to move in. That means more moving, change and upheaval but it is shaping up to be a fun ride!
